TransACT ParentNotices published a free resource to support school districts in keeping our communities informed, healthy, and safe on September 1st, 2020. As the holiday season often includes travel, we want to highlight the complimentary COVID-19 letter template for state and local education agencies, schools, and out-of-school-time programs.

This letter template is available in English and 8 additional languages to enable effective communication with the broader community and more equitable access to critical information about the pandemic for limited-English proficient persons. It includes blank, customizable fields for schools or districts to complete with important contact information and school or district website links. Following the important contacts section is information for parents and community members on seven topics in a question and answer format.

- Avoid becoming sick, and spreading COVID-19
- Conduct a home health screening
- Obtain assistance with childcare
- Communicate with schools when difficulties arise with distance or virtual learning
- Receive support for accessing software for online learning
