What is Pathwise IQ?
Pathwise IQ is the intelligence layer for student transportation, connecting a district’s EZRouting route plans and GPS data into one performance record the whole district can work from.
Configurable dashboards let each district measure what matters most to its own operation, from on-time performance to finance reconciliation to route efficiency, by school, depot, program, or vehicle. Optional GPS data-to-route matching confirms which vehicle ran each route, so board reports, contractor reviews, and planning decisions have a verified record behind them. Districts that prefer their own BI platform can bring that same data directly into the tools they already use, where transportation performance sits alongside the rest of the district’s reporting.

Matching checks GPS data against the route plan before calculating anything and confirms which vehicle ran each route, so every number your team sees is built on the vehicle that actually ran the route.

Pathwise IQ reads actual run times and bell-window slack across every trip your district operates, and recommends which trips can chain together for the same vehicle and driver based on preferences your district configures. Applying that recommendation covers the same trips with fewer routes and less deadhead mileage, giving your district room to maintain full service without hiring proportionally more drivers.
Vendor Accountability
Pathwise IQ measures contracted routes against their plan, with on-time performance and route matching tracked by contractor alongside the targets in each agreement. When matching is enabled, finance reconciliation compares planned service against actual service and contractor invoices day by day, flagging gaps between what was billed and what was delivered. Districts assess liquidated damages against a verified performance record, and in one large urban district, that record has been tied to roughly $1M a year in additional recovered damages.
